If you’re heading to Henty, expect to see some red gums. Not just the state of things after you’ve spend an afternoon tasting the finely structured pinot noir, merlot and cabernet sauvignon on offer, the fields are also dotted with beautiful Aussie redgum trees.

Take the great ocean road to this sunny spot in the far south-west corner of Victoria. In addition to the elegant reds, the cellar doors are also a treasure trove of riesling and sweet dessert wines — all matched conveniently to the abundance of local produce such as lamb, beef, seafood and cheese.
