Eden Valley is known as the Garden of Grapes and Gums. It has cool climate wines, scenic hills, and is brimming with wildlife – in short; ‘Aussie as’.
What does this mean for you? Premium wine for days. The growing conditions for some of these grapes are really quite extraordinary. Think sheer, stony hillsides blanketed in fog, hills and valleys with a multitude of altitudes and exposure to all kinds of weather.
As a result, every cellar door you come across will have a different story and a different selection. Eden Valley is famous for its Riesling, yet the varied topography and balanced climate also produce award-winning Shiraz, Chardonnay, Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabernet and most recently Vermentino. You will also find exciting sparkling and unexpected experimentations with anything and everything (e.g. grüner, fiano, sangiovese, montepulciano).
