A wonderful thing happens in Tumbarumba as a result of the cool temperatures and ready access to pure mountain air and water – the wines made there have deliciously intense flavours.
Approximately 80% of plantings in the region are chardonnay and pinot noir – although, recent years have seen successful batches of merlot, pinot gris, riesling, shiraz and viognier.
